This national park protects the amazing dunes along the south Lake Michigan coast. It's mostly sandy beaches with giant sand dune backgrounds. For folks in the area, it's a great place to enjoy the sand and sun though it does take a bit of stamina to climb those dunes! They are deceptively high!

We visited MI Dog, a summer sled dog center run by an Iditarod Musher named Laura Neese located a few miles north of Newberry, MI. The tour takes about an hour and a half and starts with cuddling some of her puppies which helps socialize them and lowers your blood

Lake Superior strikes again! We went to Munising, MI, to take a cruise along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore which we had heard so much about. The weather was threatening to rain before sunset so we decided to take the 4 pm cruise and we're glad we did.
As a lot of people know, Mackinac Island doesn't allow vehicles, only horse drawn carriages and bicycles. They are trying to keep the vibe of the 1800's alive and slow life down. They are very successful at that! And you better love fudge! See more about
