Make Travel Days Fun Too!

It's always fun to be camping somewhere cool and see all the sights, but you can make travel days fun as well if you are willing to stop and smell the roses along the way! We like to stop and see the small town quirky stuff and also the amazing landscapes of America and this last drive was no exception. We were leaving a Harvest Host in Burley, Idaho, and traveling to Winnemucca, Nevada, and decided to break up the monotony of the drive by choosing a route that went by Shoshone Falls near Twin Falls, Idaho and boy, are we glad we did!

What an amazing sight to behold! First we crossed over the Snake River Gorge not far from the ill-fated Evel Knievel attempt I was told. It's a magnificent canyon that is beautiful in its own right. A short drive later and we began the descent into the park where the falls are located and they are spectacular! It's actually more of a mosaic of falls spread across a wide area all with different heights and flows. It's amazing to see! Having been to Niagara Falls also, I can see the comparison.
