We visited Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods in southern Utah/Northern Arizona. Absolutely mind-boggling formations and when you hear how scientists believe they formed, it becomes even more mind-boggling! (Hint: There is a lot of missing rock!)

We had an inauspicious start to our latest travel day. It was 100 degrees in Lake Havasu the morning we left but as we headed out to the east we gained some altitude and the temperature came down to mid 70's. We ran into blinding rain three times,
We've been hanging out in national parks that are above 5-6000' for several weeks and today was a shocker! Our last campground outside Sequoia got hot during the day but we were mostly in the parks hiking in the wonderful 75 degrees and shade up there! Today
